Kamalame Cay is THE Place to Be... and Shop and Eat and Play....
Posted: Feb 23 2016
Travel and shopping go together like ice cream and sprinkles, and at the small luxury resort at Kamalame Cay, Bahamas there are some truly chic goods to be discovered in the small boutique. I'll cover just a few of my favorites today.
Aside from carrying several of the Indigo Palm kaftans and pillows, treasure is aplenty.
One of my favorites are Swizz Beads, lovingly created by my friend and fellow *arteest* Tiffany Edwards. Her work is fun and sexy with a bit of flashy bling. We all love a little bling right?? Great for a pop of color with that golden tan you acquired whilst sunning on the secluded private beach at Kamalame Cay!
Another favorite are the blessing bead bracelets and necklaces by Story and Myth. These hold a special place in our hearts as they are made by people with special needs in Jamaica. Made from the seeds of Job's Tears and beautifully designed, these bracelets and necklaces give off the perfect island vibe - especially when stacked in multiples - and you know what? You can also find these right here on the Indigo Palm website under Island Essentials! My blessing beads are pretty much daily wear for me and I always feel a little extra blessed when I'm wearing them. {love}
And the list wouldn't be complete without mentioning my very own kaftans which are becoming a true island staple in the Bahamas. The "Original White" kaftan flows beautifully as you sip a perfectly chilled Rosé poolside and then easily takes you through dinner at the island Great House. My personal favorite, however, is wearing the Original White in the heat of the day during one of Kamalame's (now famous) monthly luncheons hosted by our beloved friends, Laura and William Young of Young's Fine Wine in Nassau. I could ramble about all that those two have going on but we will save all of their fabulousness for a later post.
